Timothy Horton

Timothy Horton has worked as an architect in Sydney, Canberra and Los Angeles. His experience spans small and large practice and public and private sector.

 

Timothy studied at the University of Canberra and Sydney and graduated with Honours in Architecture.  He started his professional career in 1994 with the NSW Government Architects Office through its prestigious cadet program.

 

In 2005, he moved to Adelaide with his family to lead the team delivering UniSA’s Hawke Building on North Terrace. More recently, he led a multi-disciplinary team from HASSEL who delivered the award-winning Adelaide Zoo Entrance Precinct and Giant Panda Bamboo Forest.

 

Timothy Horton has a keen interest in public architecture and civic space and has held a number of key industry appointments including: Chair of the National Practice Committee of the Australian Institute of Architects, South Australia Chapter President and National Councillor.

Timothy Horton is the Chair of the Integrated Design Strategy’s Leadership Team.

 

Little known facts about Tim: his interests include Prime Ministerial history; pre-enlightenment oratorios and he is a vocal advocate of social media.
