‘Recipes for Systemic Change’ Dan Hill lecture
Internationally renowned Australian Urbanist Dan Hill delivered a free public lecture 'Recipes for Systematic Change' on Wednesday 16 November 2011 at the Institute Building on North Terrace, Adelaide. Dan Hill is the Strategic Design Lead at the world famous Helsinki Design Lab (HDL), Sitra in Finland (http://bit.ly/tyUC6f).
The lecture introduced the Helsinki Design Lab's use of strategic design as a blueprint for organisations that wish to solve complex problems, drawing on Helsinki Design Lab's newly published book, Recipes for Systemic Change.
Dan is in a unique position to offer his own insights and examples of how the HDL approach to strategic design might best work in the Australian context having previously worked in key leadership positions across several industries and continents, for organisations large and small, and within both public and private sectors.
A highly regarded leader in the design community, Dan Hill has extensive experience of product development and management in design, software and innovation, applied to sectors ranging from media and music to city government and academia. Dan is also a member of the Integrated Design Commission's Advisory Board, and brings to that role a strong interest in how strategic design can help shape Adelaide's future.
