5000+ was conceived in 2009, funded in 2010 by the Australian Government, launched in 2011 by the Integrated Design Commission SA, with the results to be delivered in 2012.

So what it’s all about?

5000 itself is a postcode. A place. But the ‘+‘ asks us to think beyond what Adelaide is and find out what it could be.   5000+ is about re-designing, and renewing the city.  It’s about re-conceiving what’s important to us as a city-wide community, and reflecting this in the existing policies and programs that allow (or prevent) change from happening.
